Reading Poetry

For Rising 3rd through 8th Graders

According to W.H. Auden, poetry is "memorable speech" and we will have a memorable week of poetry this summer course. With games and exercises that get the blood flowing and reinforce reading/writing skills, students will read, interpret, perform, and hopefully remember poems from authors like William Blake and Shel Silverstein. If you like poetry or simply like to read and write, this is the class for you!
